I'm here to make the process simple, supportive, and transparent — so you know exactly what to expect.
What makes Tiny Tides different from other OT practices?
Tiny Tides offers at-home & virtual occupational therapy — meaning sessions are brought to the comfort of your home, community, or even outdoors. This intimate approach leads to quicker progress, stronger carryover into daily routines, and higher continuity of care with a trusted therapist. Families also have direct access to Lauren, flexible scheduling, and holistic, personalized support.
Where do sessions take place?
Sessions can take place:
-
In your home
-
Virtually (tele-therapy)
-
In the community (library, school, daycare, or even outdoors on the beach, bike path, or trail)
Lauren works with each family to determine the setting that will best support growth and carryover.
Do you offer parent coaching?
Yes! Parent support is at the heart of Tiny Tides. Lauren provides one-on-one consultations, behavior support, and group connection opportunities like local coffee meet-ups. She empowers parents with tools and strategies so they feel confident navigating both everyday routines and more challenging moments.
What types of concerns can OT help with?
Lauren supports children with a wide range of needs, including:
-
Sensory processing & regulation
-
Feeding challenges
-
Fine motor & handwriting skills
-
Gross motor development & coordination
-
Emotional regulation & behavior
-
Visual processing
-
Executive functioning
-
Social skills & play development
-
Postural control & breathing techniques
Do you take insurance?
Tiny Tides is considered an out-of-network provider/practice. Lauren provides you with a superbill (detailed receipt) to submit for out-of-network reimbursement. Families receive superbills that can be submitted for potential out-of-network reimbursement, depending on your insurance plan. This approach allows for more flexible, individualized, and consistent care without insurance limitations.
How often will my child need therapy?
Frequency varies depending on each child’s needs and goals. Some families benefit from weekly sessions, while others may find biweekly or group-based support effective. Lauren will work with you to create a plan that feels sustainable and impactful.
